One of the great early classical houses of England, begun in 1619 and set at the heart of a historic working estate in Norfolk. William Kent’s Georgian interiors include a black and white Marble Hall, a grand Red Saloon, a State Dining Room and a sweeping cantilevered staircase. Landscaped parkland surrounds the house, with an 18th-century lake, a lime avenue, fine mature trees and a walled garden now used for weddings and events. Beyond the park, the wider estate takes in grazed farmland, mature woodland, estate villages and a wealth of period buildings, along with a yurt glamping meadow and a secluded parkland restaurant. Together they give a wide range of backdrops for every kind of production, from period drama to commercials and stills.
